Beaumont has a number of special features that serve to exemplify the unique attractiveness of the community.

Recreation - Championship golf course, integrated with residential development; water play park (extraordinaire); Don Sparrow Lake (stocked trout pond); highest senior participation rate in the International Region; 253 acres of green space; 6 km. of trails and pathways; and a linear pathway requirement in new subdivision development.

Cultural - Bilingual community; French Village design theme, and St. Vital Church landmark.

Tourism - Edmonton International Airport (9 kms south-west) providing access to the world.

Natural - Exemplary community cleanliness, and Canal LeBlanc natural feature.

Infrastructure - Ring road design, and Place Beausejour - progressive seniors' housing.

Educational - Beaumont Composite High School, one of the first schools to offer a sci-tech program and a winner of the North American Architecture award; French immersion offered in all five Beaumont schools, and a high quality publicly-funded Child Care Centre.

People - Low crime rate, and one of the highest per capita income communities in Alberta.

Program/Services - All the benefits of small town living with all the services of a major metropolitan city just 3.5 kms north; over 80 volunteer organizations; low taxes (3rd lowest of 11 urban centres in the capital region), and Town employees serve as day crew volunteer fire fighters.
